Reading #3

6: Development
This stage is fragile because it’s important to be careful not to loose that spark from the original idea once you begin developing. You also have to be considerate of new ideas that come along, being fluid with each step of the way, and sometimes even going back a step or two.

6.1: Iteration:

Apeloig is a graphic designer who loves using variation, whether he’s working from the computer or printouts, he’s always experimenting, annotating, and refining. He created a poster and after many attempts realized the overall busy fonts and words had lost his original idea-and that was: “there's no space to breathe,” because he wanted to highlight the reality of the people who live in crowded cities vs a tourist’s perspective of coming to a big city. He used that idea stemming from his time in Paris to design a poster for an Asian festival, and he was able to tone back the busy typo and was able to capture  that mix between the pretty and the busy by incorporating color ideas from silk/flowers and city buildings.
